Scriptural Reference
“And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.”
(Matthew 10:36 ESV)
Jesus said your enemies are those of your household. Attributes such as envy and jealousy, greed, vengeance and sheer wickedness are the hallmark of household enemies.
Household enemies range from a wicked husband or wife to a greedy step-mother, an envious brother, an uncle or aunty who does not want your mother or father’s children to do better than his or hers, or a colleague in the office, a wicked house help etc.
Household enemies are more dangerous because you are usually less cautious with them. You usually have no problem dealing with known enemies. But you lower your guards at home because you believe you are in the midst of people who love and care for you.
When you overcome battles that have to do with household enemies, other battles of life become easier. Be on your guard and dwell in the circumference of God’s presence. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead in your relationship with men.

Prayer: Lord! Deliver us from every enemy who sticks close to us as friends in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Emphasis: Household enemies are men who submit themselves to do evil to their people on the account of envy and jealousy, greed, vengeance and sheer wickedness!
