WORD FOR TODAY
Be a faithful steward of the life God has given you. Serve others generously, but do not neglect your own well-being while waiting for others to care for you!

“Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD.” — Jeremiah 17:5 (NKJV)
God calls us to love and serve others, but He also expects us to be wise stewards of our own lives. Many people spend their entire lives sacrificing everything for others while neglecting their health, rest, spiritual growth, and legitimate needs. Wisdom teaches us to care for what God has entrusted to us, knowing that no one can manage your life as faithfully as you should.
Relationships are gifts from God, but they were never designed to replace God. Friends may disappoint, family members may be limited, children may have their own responsibilities, and even those with good intentions cannot always help when you expect them to. Human strength has limits, but God’s faithfulness never does.
Therefore, do not build your confidence on people. Appreciate those God brings into your life, but anchor your hope in Him alone. Care for your body, invest in your future, make wise decisions, and prepare responsibly for the days ahead. Do not postpone living wisely because you assume others will always be there.
When your trust is firmly rooted in God, you are free to love people without depending on them for your security. The Lord is the only unfailing Helper who never grows weary, never changes, and never abandons those who trust in Him.
Question for Meditation: Am I depending more on people than on God while neglecting the life He has entrusted to me?
Prayer: Father, teach me to be a wise steward of my life. Help me to care for myself without becoming selfish and to trust in You above every human relationship. May my hope remain firmly anchored in You alone, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Main Emphasis: Care for yourself wisely, but place your confidence in God alone.
May the Lord grant you wisdom to steward your life well, preserve you from misplaced dependence on people, and establish your heart in unwavering trust. May He be your unfailing refuge and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
