TOPIC: THE JOY OF THE LORD

TEXT: Nehemiah 8 vs 10

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

Whenever any man is successful, people will want to find out is what is his secret.

Daddy wants me to tell, nobody will be able to explain your success

Joy isn’t the same as happiness; happiness is what you get what something happens. Joy has relatives and one if it is gladness – Psalms 122:1. The joy we are talking about has nothing to do with wealth, because riches don’t satisfy Ecclesiastes 5 vs 10, 1 Timothy 6 vs 7. The joy we are talking about has nothing to do with greatness or popularity – Jeremiah 45:5. The joy we are talking about is the joy of the Lord.

Tonight, I will be talking about the categorizes of joy and the strength it produces. Joy produces strength and strength is the ability to do work.

Regular Joy: you are supposed to have a bit of a dose every morning, without it, you won’t have strength to do anything – Psalm 30 vs 5. If you have those who have suffered from depression, they usually lie helplessly. When you get regular joy, you have the ability to do regular things: take your bath, go to work. 

God produces strength one of the ways of getting joy is through hearing good news – Psalm 51 vs 8, Nehemiah 2 vs 17-18. 

Someone will hear good news tonight.

Prayer point 1: Father, speak to me tonight, directly, let me hear good news tonight, Lord

Great Joy: when you read Luke 2:8-16, when the bible tells us how the angels visited the shepherd it says “I bring you good tidings of great joy”. Psalm 21:8 says great joy produces great things. Regular joy can give you enough strength to work, great joy can give you enough joy to run and fly – Acts 3:1-8, when the man at the beautiful gate got his miracle, he was limping and jumping for joy. When you have great joy, you will be able to do anything your heart desires for God. 

As the Lord lives someone will experience great joy tonight

Prayer point 2: Father, give me great joy that will produce the ability to do what I want to do for you without any delay.

Exceeding Great Joy: Matthew 2:1-10, the bible spoke about the wise men who came to see Jesus Christ, when they saw Jesus they rejoice with exceeding great you, exceeding great joy gives exceeding great strength – The first time I read Deuteronomy 28:1-13 and I read that the Almighty God made a promise that a man can get so blessed that He will be lending to Nations and will never borrow, that day I said Amen will all my heart. 

As the Lord lives, a day is coming when you will go to the head of state and say ,how much is my country owing, because I want to pay it off.

Today, RCCG is in more than 190 Nations of the world. Some people call Nigeria poor, but from Nigeria, missionaries are all over the world, financed by Nigeria; we are lending to Nations.

The Lord asked me to tell someone, anyone who complains when I begin to promote you will lose whatever he has.

Exceeding great joy gives you the ability to do exceeding great things – Acts 5:14-16

Before the end of this month, anyone who stumble to you, will have a miracle

Prayer Points 3: Father, please make me a channel of exceeding great joy; make me a channel through which exceeding great joy will be flowing.

The Lord said before the sun rise I will give you a taste of my Almightyness

Joy Unspeakable: To understand Joy unspeakable, first you have to understand the opposite of Joy unspeakable.

Stand up and shout Lazarus come forth! 

Daddy asked me to tell you, because you shouted, every opportunity you have lost will begin to return to you.

There is sorrow unspeakable – Job 3:11-13, Job friends visited him and  sat down for seven days unable to say a word.

I decree, sorrow will never come to your house again

Because there is sorrow unspeakable, there is joy unspeakable – 1 Peter 1:3-8. Joy unspeakable produces strength unspeakable. It produces the ability to do things unspeakable. It gives you the ability to perform miracles that is difficult to testify about – Psalm 126:1

Daddy said there is someone here, your testimony as being what God has done for you, from now on, your testimonies will be what God has done through you. 

I have good news for somebody, very soon, you will have testimonies you will be unable to share.

Prayer Point 4: Father, give me a testimony so big that it will be difficult to share

Daddy says in Exodus 4, when I asked Moses to throw down his rod and it became a serpent, and I told him to bend down and pick up the serpent, from the moment Moses touched the floor to pick up the serpent, whatever he does prospers; 

Who will be childish enough to bend down, touch the floor and say Lord, Lord my hand has come in touch with your holy ground, from now on, whatever I touch, let it prosper.

Everlasting Joy: no matter how great your joy may be, it’s not good enough if it’s not everlasting – Job 20:4-5. The  bible says it is possible for your joy to last forever…

God asked me to tell you to laugh

Because you laughed, for everyday of sorrow you have known I will give you a month of laughter in replacement. 

The Lord said, when we compare when you are now to where I am taking you, it will be as if you are in the wilderness now. And He tells me to add you days of wilderness are over

Isaiah 52:11, Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. Isaiah 51:11 – who are those that will experience everlasting joy? The Redeemed

Prayer Point 5: Lord I am your child, I am redeemed, let me be a partaker of your everlasting joy

Only the redeemed will have a share of the everlasting, if you want to surrender your life to Jesus, you want him to redeem you, give your life to Christ now. 

Now it’s time to pray.
