ỌRẸ WO L’A NI BI JESU

Ọrẹ wo l’ani bi Jesu, 
Ti o ru'banuje wa;
Anfani wo l'o pọ bayi 
Lati ma gbadura si?
Alafia púpọ̀ l’a nsọnu, 
A si ti jẹ r'ora pọ,
Tori a ko nfi gbogbo nkan 
S’adura niwaju Rẹ.

Idanwo ha wa fun wa bi? 
A ha nni wahala bi?
A ko gbọdọ sọ ’reti nu; 
Sa gbadura si Oluwa.
Ko s’olotọ ọrẹ bi Rẹ 
Ti ole ba wa daro,
Jesu ti mọ ailera wa; 
Sa gbadura s’Oluwa.

Eru ha nwọ wa l’ọrun bi? 
Aniyan ha pọ fun wa?
Olugbala jẹ abo wa, 
Sa gbadura s’Oluwa;
Awọn ọrẹ ha ṣa o ti,

Y'o gbe ọ s'oke l'apa Rẹ

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

WHAT a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear;
What a privilege to carry
Ev’rything to  God in prayer.
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
All because we do not carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer

Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge,-
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer:
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there. Amen.
