Colossians 1:27 KJV
[27] to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:



The sum total of the Christian race is this “At last we win” in Isaiah 3:10 the Almighty God says in His word. Prophesy to yourself in the mighty name of Jesus I will laugh last.

1 John 3:1-3 One day we are going to be exactly like Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:37 in the chorus of the hymn we sang I know there is glory ahead for me because God loves me and Christ is living in me, at the end of the journey we will be more than conquerors.

I want to talk to you tonight as your Dad, I want you to see the complete picture that we are going to win in the end. This means there might be some battle to fight – John 16:33. Whether we like it or not there will be battles to fight. That’s why in December we dealt with onward Christian soldiers.
Isaiah 43:1-2, the Almighty God made a promise, when you pass through the waters, He will be with you; when not if.

When you go through the scriptures you will find that all the great names had to cross rivers – Joshua 2:7-17 Joshua and the people had to cross a river.

2 Kings 2:1-13, when God was going to take Elijah to heaven he had to cross river Jordan. Elisha was with him; Elisha was about to be promoted. Elisha walked with Elijah through river Jordan before his promotion came.

2 Kings 2:14-17, Elisha had received a double portion of the spirit of Elijah but he was on the other side of Jordan, he had to cross river Jordan again. There will be rivers to cross if you are to fulfil your destiny.

I have been born-again for some years, and God has given me a hint that I will be serving him full time. I didn’t like it, but that is the river I had to cross. I had to leave the university and had to lead a church where the entire offering of the month was not up to my salary. I had to cross the river of poverty that I had thought I had left behind.

There were times we couldn’t go to Lagos because we didn’t have money to cross the toll-gate. Because we didn’t have 2 naira. Glory be to God, I have crossed that river now.


Isaiah 43:2 There will be fire to pass through. He says when you pass through you fire will not be burnt. You cannot be a true Christian without passing through a fire or river


Genesis 22:1-18, when God told Abraham to go and sacrifice his only son Isaac, he made sure he had to travel three days before he got the place; those three days, Abraham was passing through fire.


Sooner or later God is going to find out if He is number one in your life or your love something else more than Him.

Matthew 10:36 – There will be problems at one time or another with your relations. Sooner or later, somebody very close in your family might be used of the devil. But the good news is, you will overcome.


1 Samuel 17:22-29,  when David got to the battle front, just before God will introduce to the people of Israel, the brother cornered him. In 1 Samuel 22, when David went to the cave of adullam, all his brothers came to him.

1 Samuel 18, Saul tried to kill David but at the end of the day David still became king. There will be family problems to deal with, but there will be glory ahead.

When the Lord said there will be landmark victories we all shouted for you. But do you know that landmark victories come after landmark battles? The bigger the test, the bigger the testimony.

Because you are my beloveth children you must know we are soldiers of Christ and we have battles to first.


Ordinary people don’t get attacked by a lion. It’s only people who are anointed – Judges 14:5-9. The bigger the examination the bigger the promotion. There are many of us who face lions because we are Christians.

Occasionally as a child of God, you will face people who pretend to love you but they want to destroy your destiny – Genesis 39:1-23

Every wolf in sheep’s clothing that is operating around you, the Almighty God will expose them.


1 Samuel 17: 34-58 – It was clear the purpose of the satan in raising Goliath.

Sooner or later you will come against Goliath but the Lord will give you victory.


Romans 8:31 – if you read this place very well, God didn’t answer the question. If God puts a question mark and He doesn’t put an answer, be careful.

Isaiah 54:17+ Who can be against us if God is for us? Nobody. Don’t worry about witches and wizards.

James 4:7 if only you will submit yourself to God, you will resist the devil and he will flee from you.

You are the only one with the freewill to stop God from giving you victory – Isaiah 59:1-2.


A thousand Soldiers came against Samson, he killed them all. But a girl brought him down. David committed a sin, he repented but God said the sword shall not depart from his house.

Ask my children, they will tell, whenever we ask to say a personal prayer, my prayer is “God, don’t let me offend you” Because I know that when God is with me, I can face the world.

There are some of you who are pretending to be a child of God but you are not.

Some of you are not even fasting or listening to me.

If you are here and your salvation is not genuine, you claim to be born-again but you are still living in sin. If you want to give your life to Christ, do so now.

Prayer Points:

1. Thank the Almighty God for allowing you to hear this word tonight.
2. Father, whatever I have to pass through, please just be by my side.
3. Father, please don’t let me lose Your love so I can remain more than a conqueror in all the battles of life.
4. Father, don’t let me be my own enemy.
5. Father, let my surrender to You be complete tonight so that I can resist the devil and he will flee from me.
6. Father, let Your glory in my life dazzle my enemies.
7. Father answer my neighbours too
