RCCG JANUARY 2022 HOLY GHOST SERVICE SERMON – FRESH AIR

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
The very first time that man came in contact with fresh air from God it was an ordinary mud; God formed man out of dust and it was dust until God breathe into his nostrils the breath of life and suddenly what was useless (dust) became something extraordinarily precious; it became a living soul – Matthew 16:26,
Job 27:3 – when you breathe in and out, it’s the spirit of God going in and out – Job 33:4,
Eccl. 12:7 – when man stops breathing he begins to rot.
Samuel was a boy of Eli, then God breathe on him; all of a sudden the house boy begin to change and he became the first kingmaker of Israel and also a king removal – 1 Samuel 10:1, 1 Samuel 15:16-19
Prayer point 1: Father, please breathe on me (don’t let me die ordinary) and make something significant out of my life.
Fresh air can mean that not just your siege is over, it’s going to be over permanently – Exodus 2:23-25, things were rough for the children of Isrealites in Egypt, then in Exodus 12 there siege was over, freedom came, they became to breathe the fresh air of liberty, prosperity. But the enemy tried to bring them back into captivity but God did something extraordinary; God breathe again – Exodus 15:8-11
Prayer point 2: Father, let your wind blow in my favour; let head wind be tail wind, so that my siege will be over permanently.
Ezekiel 37:1-10 – When fresh wind blows, hope is restored, opportunities that have been lost forever are reversed – Eccl. 9:4. The bible referred to Sarah womb as dead but God breathed on it. – Romans 4:19-21.
Prayer Point 3 – Father, breathe on me, restore to me every blessing I have lost and make the blessings double.
Fresh air can be the beginning of the Holy Ghost – John 20:21-23, Acts 1:8, Acts 10:38.
Acts 19:11-12 God performed special miracles by the hands of Paul.
I am believing in God for you that as you breathe in the fresh air, there will be so much power in you and the impossible will be possible.
Prayer Point 4 – Father, please breathe on me so that I can be empowered to overflowing
Fresh air could mean a second wind; a new surge of energy.
I am believing in God for someone who is about to give up, tonight you will get a second wind.
Luke 5:1-11, the Almighty God told Peter from now on you will catch men – Matthew 16:13-19 – Peter was doing great. Matthew 26:69-75 – Peter failed badly. John 21:1-19 – Peter got fresh air; a second wind. And from then, it was upward ever, downward never.
Prayer Point 5 – Father, breathe on me, give me a second wind so that I will never fail again.
Fresh air could mean having an extra dose of the power of God – Acts 3:1-11, Acts 4:4, Acts 4:23-31. 1 Kings 19:19-21 -Elisha had the first experience of God’s anointing, 2 Kings 2:9-15, Elisha had a taste of fresh air. Elisha who was the son of the prophet became the prophet.
Prayer Point 6 – Father, breathe on me, give me a booster of your power tonight, that I might reach the top quickly and easily.
Fresh air could mean keeping the fire burning permanently – Leviticus 6:13. God is saying you must never backslide, and those who are hot will never become cold; you won’t lose your fire. If the fire goes out, the open period before the fire is reignited is dangerous – Judges 16:18-31. The danger of backsliding is that the wound may heal but the scar will remain forever.
Fire needs fresh air to keep burning – Acts 6:1-8
Prayer Point 7 – Father, breathe on me, keep the air fresh and never let the fire go out in my life.
When Peter was in prison and the angel of the Lord came in and his chain dropped off and the doors opened, when he got out of prison he breathed fresh air and his fire never went out – Acts 12.
Rev. 3:20 – You can shut out the fresh air if you refuse to open the door. Some of us have hardened our heart, each time we hear the word of God we know we need to change. The altar call I am making tonight is not for those who are yet to be born again alone, it is also for those who claim to be born again but persistently doing things contrary to the will of God. Jesus is knocking at the door; open the door to Him so that fresh air can come in.
