TEXT: GENESIS 1:26-28
The word Dominion is an action word. So, tonight we will pray.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God created you to have Dominion. If you have desired Dominion you are desiring what is according to His will.
Prayer: Father, give me Dominion.
Gen 27:30-40 Isaac wanted to bless Esau but Jacob got the blessing.
In the mighty name of Jesus all of you who call me Daddy, you shall be blessed.
Isaac told Esau to pursue Dominion. That means either you have Dominion or you are under yoke. You either have dominion or you are under yoke. You have to choose one tonight.
WHAT DO WE MEAN BY DOMINION PHYSICALLY, FINANCIALLY, SPIRITUALLY.
When your shadow begins to heal the sick, then you will have dominion physically – Acts 5:15-16. God can use you at that level. It is good to be rich. Poverty is a destroyer. Poverty is not good.
In the mighty name of Jesus none of you will die poor.
Our father Abraham was rich. If God blessed Abraham it means it’s not a terrible thing to be rich. But it is better to be wealthy, Isaac was wealthy and the nation envied him – Genesis 26:12-24. It is good to be wealthy but it is better to prosper. Solomon offered 22,000 oxen and 100,000 to God – 2 Chronicles 7:5. When you can do whatever you want to do without looking at anybody then you have Dominion financially.
When we talk about spiritual dominion; it is good to be delivered – Mark 5. But it is better not to be in bondage. If a man is mad before even if he is completely well people would still look at him with suspicion. It is even better when God used to set captive free. To have spiritual dominion is when you get to the level that your handkerchief can cast out demons – Acts 19: 11-12.
Now, I want to talk about COMPREHENSIVE DOMINION. Dominion can be on a selective basis. That is someone can have dominion in a particular area and not have in another area – 2 Kings 4&5
Everything you need to do whatever you want to do, receive that dominion now in Jesus Name.
The point is you can have comprehensive dominion. God has made provision. We have been given great dominion by the blood of Jesus. We have been given dominion over everything by the blood of Jesus.
I have a friend who had dominion in everything- Elisha 2 Kings 2:19-22 He had dominion financially 2 Kings 4:8 He had dominion physically – 2 Kings 13:14-21 Elisha had dominion physically. Elisha was sick only once; and it was the sickness of which he died.
You can have comprehensive dominion but you have to submit yourself to God – James 4:7
