Ọjọ ayọ nlanla na de, Eyi t’ araiye ti nreti; Nigbat’ Olugbala w’ aiye Nigbat’ a bi ninu ara.

Olusagutan ni papa Bi nwọn tin sọ agutan wọn, Ni ihin ayọ na kọ ba. Ihin bibi Olugbala

Angel iransẹ Oluwa L’ a ran si wọn, alabukun, Pẹlu ogo t’ o tan julọ, Lati sọ ihin ayọ yi.

Gidigidi l’ ẹrú ba wọn, Fun ajeji iran nla yi; “Ma bẹru” l’ ọrọ iyanju T’ o t’ ẹnu Angẹli na wa.

A bi Olugbala loni; Kristi Oluwa aiye ni; N’ ilu nla Dafidi l’ o wa, N’ ibujẹ ẹran l’ a te si.

The happy day at last has dawned Long awaited by all kindred When the promised Saviour appears Here on earth in human form.
VERSE 2
Shepherds in the fields abiding Watching over their flocks by night First e'er, the glad tidings were told Glad tidings of the Saviour's birth
VERSE 3
Angel's God's ministering spirits Who came in shining white app'rel Brought to them the blessed message, The true, glad tidings of great joy.

A mighty dread had seized their mind Because of this strange sight they saw ''Fear not'' was the comforting words That came from the angelic lips
VERSE 5
Christ the Saviour is born today Yet Christ the Lord on earth is He In David's city is He born In a humble manger forlon.

All glory be to God on high` Will be the chorus by all clime For his tender and endless love That to a world in need brought peace. Amen.
