Ayọ kun ọkan wa loni A bi Ọmọ Ọba; Ọpọ àwọn ogun ọrun, Nsọ ibi Rẹ loni: Ẹ yọ, Ọlọrun d’ eniyan, O wa joko l’ aiye; Orúkọ wo l’ o dun to yi Emmanuel.

A wolẹ n’ ibujẹ ẹran, N’ iyanu l’a jọsin: Ibukun kan ko ta ’yi yọ, Ko s’ ayọ bi eyi

Aiye ko n’ adun fun wa mọ, ’Gbati a ba nwo Ọ; L’owo Wundia iya Rẹ, ’Wo Ọmọ Iyanu.

Imọlẹ lat’ inu ’mọlẹ, Tan ’mọlǝ s’ okun wa; K’ a le ma fi isin mimọ Ṣe ’ranti ọjọ Rẹ.

Joy fills our inmost hearts to-day! The royal Child is born; And Angel hosts in glad array His Advent keep this morn. Rejoice, rejoice! The incarnate Word Has come on earth to dwell; No sweeter sound than this is heard, Emmanuel.

Low at the cradle throne we bend, We wonder and adore; And feel no bliss can ours transcend, No joy was sweet before.
VERSE 3
For us the world must lose its charms Before the manger shrine, When, folded in Thy mother's arms, We see Thee, Babe divine.

Thou Light of uncreated Light, Shine on us, Holy Child; That we may keep Thy birthday bright, With service undefiled.
