Memory verse:

John 14:21 NLT – Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.

John 14:21 – TPT – Those who truly love me are those who obey my commands. Whoever passionately loves me will be passionately loved by my Father. And I will passionately love him in return and will reveal myself to him.

John 14:21 – NIV – Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

John 14:21 – ESV – Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.

John 14:21 – KJV – He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Bible verse in Yoruba

Johannu 14:21 – Ẹniti o ba li ofin mi, ti o ba si npa wọn mọ́, on li ẹniti ọ fẹràn mi: ẹniti o ba si fẹràn mi, a o fẹrán rẹ̀ lati ọdọ Baba mi wá, emi o si fẹràn rẹ̀, emi o si fi ara mi hàn fun u.

Key: Why is obedience to God so important? In our text, Jesus Christ made it known that He will reveal Himself to those who love and obey Him. This is important to us as believers because if we cooperate with Him in loving obedience God will manifest Himself to us, and that manifestation will be the difference between a nominal Christian life and a life radiant with the light of His face. Always, everywhere God is present, and always He seeks to discover Himself. To each one he would reveal not only who He is, but what He is as well.

Action: If you are yet to experience an inward revelation of the Godhead since you gave your life to Christ, examine yourself if you are walking in obedience to the words of Christ. And, if you have once experienced the revelation of the Godhead and now it seems the power of the Holy Spirit in you has vaporized, also, examine yourself, ask for God’s mercy and like David did in Psalm 13:3 (..restore the sparkle to my eyes) pray to God to restore the sparkles to your eyes.
