Word of the day: 1John 2 vs 5 – Do you love God?

1 John 2 vs 5 – KJV – But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1John 2 vs 5 – NLT – But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.

1 John 2 vs 5 – AMP – “But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”

1 John 2 vs 5 – GNB – But if we obey his word, we are the ones whose love for God has really been made perfect. This is how we can be sure that we are in union with God:

1 John 2 vs 5 – MSG – But the one who keeps God’s word is the person in whom we see God’s mature love. This is the only way to be sure we’re in God.

Key: Keeping the commandments of God is an expression of love towards Him and testament that you are in union with Him. (He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. John 14:21) If indeed you love God and you are in Him, you will keep His commandments.
