Key: “God’s Heart’s Desire: A Deep Knowledge of Him”
God longs for us to have an intimate understanding of His nature and character. While sacrifices, service, offerings, and thanksgiving are essential, they aren’t His ultimate desire. He yearns for a personal relationship, walking and working alongside us.
At the core of God’s desire is love. He commands us to love others, but this can be challenging without first knowing Him, for God is love itself (1 John 4:8). To truly love others, we must understand God’s love.
So, how can we gain this life-changing knowledge of God?
1. Studying His Word: Delving into Scripture reveals God’s heart, character, and plans.
2. Personal Revelation: God sometimes reveals Himself in extraordinary ways, as seen in the lives of Moses (Exodus 3:1-14) and Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9:1-31), who encountered Jesus on the Damascus road.
By seeking God through these avenues, we’ll deepen our understanding of His love and empower ourselves to love others as He intends.
Prayer: Father, as I seek to know You more and more, please let me find You.
