Who is A True Worshipper

Firstly, I want us to understand that man is a composite which comprises of Body, Soul and Spirit.

The body is the container, the outer part; it’s what everyone sees. Your body is not the real you, that’s why when a man dies, they say “He has gone”

The soul is the psychological part, where we think, reason, remember, feel, express happiness, anger etc.

Now, the spirit, the real you. It’s the deepest part and the most hidden part. This is where we connect with the spiritual realm. Where we connect with God. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord , searching all the inward parts of the belly. Proverbs 20:27 KJV

No other creature is created with a spirit except humans.

Now, who is a True Worshipper?

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23 KJV

A True Worshipper is someone who thirst for God. “Spirit calls unto spirit”(Psalms 42:7). Someone who his spirit is inclined towards God.

In worship you go in to commune with God

Everybody can praise God, (“Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord”. Psalms 150:6) but worship is exclusive to those who will give Him their spirit, those who will thirst for Him.

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? Psalm 42:2KJV

When you thirst for water, and you drink, your body is satisfied, same manner, when you thirst for God(worship) He communes with you (fellowship) and your spirit shall be satisfied.

Question for Meditation: Do you thirst for God? Do you worship Him in Spirit and in truth?
