The Light Daily Devotional – When you wait upon the Lord 1
Focus: When you wait upon the Lord 1
The word for today
Waiting upon the Lord is not meant to render you weak, but rather to infuse you with strength beyond your human capabilities. It is in the waiting that the inherent frailty of our humanity is revealed, unveiling our deep reliance on the supernatural power of God in every aspect of life!
Scriptural Reference
“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
The days of waiting are meant to reveal our vulnerabilities and limitations. It is through this process that we come to recognize our insufficiency and the profound necessity for the divine intervention of God. As we wait upon Him, we acknowledge that our strength and wisdom are inadequate to navigate the complexities of existence.
In the stillness of waiting, we find solace in surrendering our burdens and aspirations to the Almighty. It is a time of humbling ourselves, acknowledging our dependency on the One who holds the universe in His hands. We let go of self-reliance and open our hearts to receive the immeasurable strength that flows from God’s infinite well.
In this sacred space of waiting, we discover that true strength is not found in our own might or abilities, but in our yieldedness to the power of God. It is a transformative journey where we are stripped of self-sufficiency and fortified with divine empowerment. We exchange our weakness for His strength, our limitations for His boundless possibilities.
As we patiently wait upon the Lord, we are renewed in spirit and fortified in our faith. We become vessels, ready to be filled with His grace, His wisdom, and His power. The waiting period becomes a training ground, where we learn to rely on His supernatural provisions and guidance for every aspect of our lives. So, do not despise the season of waiting, for it is not meant to diminish you, but to elevate you. Embrace it as an opportunity to draw closer to God, to be infused with His strength, and to witness His miraculous works unfold.
