The Light Daily Devotional – What matters most

Focus: What matters most

The word for today

In the tapestry of life, there is nothing more precious than the gift of life itself and the blessing of good health. As we journey through life, let us cherish each breath and celebrate the unfailing love and support of our Heavenly Father!

Scriptural Reference

“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls– Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. (Habakkuk 3:17-19 NKJV)

The most significant things in your life, second only to God, are the life you possess and your overall well-being. These two factors hold immense importance and should be cherished above all else. Your life is a precious gift bestowed upon you, and your health enables you to experience and enjoy the fullness of life. Recognize the value of these blessings and prioritize their preservation and nurturing to live a fulfilling and purposeful existence.

In moments when life seems to be filled with challenges and things don’t go as planned, refrain from worrying and instead express gratitude to God for the precious gift of life. Maintain hope and trust in God’s guidance. Remember the words of Habakkuk 3:17-19, where God promises to be your strength, enabling you to overcome obstacles and walk with agility and confidence on the highest peaks of life’s journey. Instead of dwelling on what God hasn’t done, appreciate what He has done for you. Regardless of your circumstances, remember that life is given to please and honour God. Embrace this truth and approach each day with gratitude, knowing that God’s plans for you are boundless.

Do you appreciate and value the gift of life and sound health?

Prayer: Lord! I thank you for the gift of life and my general well-being in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Emphasis: Having life and good health surpasses all other things in importance. Rejoice in your salvation and trust that God will be there for you in times of need!

Have an Outstanding Week Ahead!
