The Light Daily Devotional – Walking in covenant
Focus: Walking in covenant
The word for today
No evil can harm you when you walk in the covenant. The only way to be assured that God will stand by you to bring His word to pass is if you walk in the covenant.
God will fulfill His promises for you if and only if you fulfill your promises to Him!
Scriptural Reference
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8 NKJV)
Everything the Lord will do for you is embedded in His promises, and whatever He does will last from generation to generation. When David aligned his life according to God’s will, He made a covenant with him that also covered his children if they would walk in the covenant. What some people are enjoying today is a result of the fact that their fathers walked in covenant with God and the blessing was extended to them. They will also do well if they can pass on the legacy to their children by walking in the covenant and teaching their children to do the same.
When this is done, they are extending the blessing to their children. We must walk in covenant in a bid to preserve His glory in our lives. Joshua is a worthy successor to Moses because he walks in the covenant. You must also resolve to walk on the premise of God’s covenant with you if you are to have the life God wants to give you. A man who lives in disobedience to God’s word for him or walks in unrighteousness cannot fulfill His plan and purpose for his life.
+ Are you walking in the covenant?
Prayer: Lord! Please help me to always walk in covenant and have the life you want to give me in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Emphasis: You must walk in covenant if God is to fulfill His covenant over your life!
Have a progressive ahead.
