The word for today
Every time you honour God by obeying His word and magnifying His name, you sow a seed of honour in your destiny. The honorability of your life is determined by how God perceives your life to be honourable in His presence and how much He stands by your side to bring His word to pass!
Scriptural Reference
“But now the LORD says: “Far be it from Me; for those who honour Me I will honour, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. (1 Samuel 2:30 NKJV)
Our actions consistently convey either a perception of honour or dishonour to God. When the Lord observed the lifestyle of the sons of Eli, He found that they dishonoured Him in their consecrated place. Consequently, the Lord changed His mind regarding them and refrained from fulfilling the promises made to their forefathers.
The promises of God will only be fulfilled on the premise of His promises. God is identified as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob because they Honour Him at the critical point of their lives. The 3 Hebrews honoured God, and He stood with them in the fiery furnace to fulfil His word. Conversely, God is reluctant to associate His name with the lives of the sons of Eli and contemplates their destruction.
Avoid the dishonourable path of disobedience to God and His will in your consecrated place. Do not sacrifice His precious plans for you and your role in His purpose on the altar of greed, disobedience, and unrighteousness.
Do you honour God with your life and decision?
Prayer: Dear Lord, grant us the wisdom and strength to honour You in our consecrated places, and help us avoid the dishonourable path of disobedience in Jesus’ Amen!
Emphasis: When you honour God, He will honour you, but when you dishonour Him, you will be dishonoured.
