The Light Daily Devotional – Finding Strength
Focus: Finding Strength
The word for today
As humans, we need strength from the Lord because human strength alone is bound to fail. Seeking strength in God at all times is the most effective approach to remain relevant in the various aspects of life!
Scriptural Reference:
“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV
No matter how formidable a man’s strength may seem, there remains the potential for failure at any given moment. Trusting one’s entire life solely on human strength is a foolish endeavor.
Our text reminds us that individuals boasting in their strength will encounter moments where their perceived might becomes irrelevant. In these junctures, weariness and faint-heartedness may set in due to unforeseen life challenges. When every external support fails, they are destined to fall. Any person neglecting to acknowledge God in all aspects of life is destined for failure.
The story of Samson exemplifies relevance in God’s purpose until he took the grace of God for granted. Consumed by his success, he forgot his consecration and commitment to God.
I don’t know the type of strength keeping you away from fellowship, prayer, godly relationships, and your place of consecration. The message for you is clear: powerful individuals will face weariness, they will fall; the only antidote is to wait on God.
Waiting on God becomes the avenue to overcome impending challenges. The Lord takes no pleasure in anything that draws you away from Him. Come unto Him, learn from Him; the strength you receive from Him at every juncture is the necessary fortitude for the days ahead.
Meditation: How far do you think you will go in life without the help of God?
Dear Lord, help me to wait on You for the strength needed to face challenges and to remain steadfast in my commitment to You in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Emphasis: Human strength falters, but waiting on God ensures enduring strength. Make a deliberate effort to align every aspect of your life with God, seeking His guidance, and find the strength needed for the journey ahead!
Have a Refreshed Tuesday!
