WORD FOR TODAY
Insincerity gives the evil one the required space to perform his enterprise in the life of a man. Be sincere because the devil is always out to exploit your insincerity!

“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22 NIV
Sincerity is an important virtue that brings God to the aid of a man. At the wedding at Cana in Galilee; they were sincere about the fact that the wine was no longer available. This prompted the Lord to intervene on their behalf.
When Naomi came back from the land of Moab she did not present herself like someone who made It from abroad; she was sincere and acknowledged the fact that it is not right to be called Naomi but Mara because she lost everything. Her sincerity brought her life back to shape.
The problem King Saul had began when he failed to acknowledge his sins but wanted to appear honourable despite disobeying God before men. The devil used his insincerity as an opportunity to strip Him of his mandate. Similarly, the devil also used the insincerity of Gehazi to bring leprosy to his entire generation. The Lord detests a man who is not sincere. Irrespective of the way you choose to live the fact remains that you can’t deceive God or deny the truth you know about who you are.

Prayer: Lord! I will not be a hypocrite, I receive the grace to be sincere and live righteously in Jesus name. Amen!
Emphasis: Don’t be a hypocrite; you will only be helped by God if and only if you are sincere!
