RCCG NOVEMBER 2022 HOLY GHOST SERVICE SERMON AND PRAYER POINTS
TOPIC: LET IT RAIN

BIBLE TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 7:13-14
When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
Rain is associated with blessings and it’s a sign that God is pleased – Ezekiel 34:26. Rain leads to surplus (Amos 4:7, Exodus 16:4 tells us that God can rain food from heaven. Rain is associated with divine supply. Rain is associated with fruitfulness – Isaiah 55:10.
Deuteronomy 28:14-24, Deuteronomy 11:17 Lack of rain is a curse.
Rain is symbolic of hope. Rain is symbolic of restoration. Rain is symbolic of revival – Job 14:7-9. Rain is symbolic of divine favour – Proverbs 16:15.
How is God involved in the issue of rain? Jeremiah 5:24, 1 Kings 17:1 – God is the giver and controller of rain. This is why when God wants to give rain He gives moderately – Joel 2:23.
We need the rain moderately. We need to contact the One who gives rain to give it to us. 1 kings 8:35-36
How do we pray tonight? We will start by praising Him – Psalm 22:3, Psalm 100:4.
Prayer points
- Worship and praise Him
- Father, rain healing upon Everyone.
- Father, open the heavens, rain abundance on all of us.
- Father, if they need only three people to do the work of this mission, let me be one of them.
- Father, upon the windows of heaven and rain mercy on us.
- Father, rain your power on us all.
- Father, rain joy upon us.
Prayer for 15 minutes
- Give thanks to God.
- Cry unto God for mercy: mercy for you, family and those precious to you. So that sickness will stay away from your home. So that you will never lack. So that you will continue to enjoy the mercy that has been helping us thus far. So that when they are talking about who God used mightily, my family and I will be among them. So that anything called sorrow will stay far away from you and your family..
