RCCG January 2022 Thanksgiving Service Sermon

This sermon will be in two parts, one for my children and another for the general public.
1 Thess 5:16-18 – 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Why should you give thanks? How can I praise God when He hasn’t answered my prayer? Occasionally the answer to your prayer is only delayed – Daniel 10:12-14. Prayers are delayed because God has His timetable. Occasionally God delays the answer because what He wants to give you is better than what you are asking for – Matthew 11:11. There are some prayers that are better if God doesn’t answer at all – 2 Kings 20:1-6 – 2Kings 21:1-16.
Any prayer you pray that God knows it’s going to end badly for you, may God not answer that prayer.
How can I thank God when He has fulfilled His promises? I want to assure, once God has spoken, it is done – Psalm 33:8-9, Numbers 23:19. If God made a major promise, you may have to wait a little to get the fulfillment – Genesis 12:1-3.

Exodus 8:20-24 – There was a time when God was angry with Pharaoh and He decided to show Egypt that there is a God in heaven. Just like this time, when God wants to show the world that He is the Almighty. Right now God is angry with the world, and He is showing the world that as you are making vaccines a new variant of coronavirus is already coming. He wants me to tell those of you who are members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, He will treat Egypt separately and treat you as Goshen. This means, your body will be treated as Goshen – Psalm 91:5-8; coronavirus will not come near your body – Psalm 91:10.
Do you know that because of you alone, God can spare a whole town. For instance, since the outbreak of coronavirus, no single case of coronavirus has been recorded in my village, Ifewara.
I decree, because of you, from now on, there will be no coronavirus in your village
Prayer: Praise God; sing unto Him. Praise God with all your heart; the more you praise HIm, the more He will bless you.
