TOPIC: BEYOND SALVATION
MINISTERING: PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE
BIBLE TEXT: HEBREWS 10:19-23
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; and having an high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrews 10:19-23 KJV
Beyond Salvation – We could visit beyond Salvation from two different angles. We could say salvation is sanctification; your sins have been washed away. Sanctification means the ability to sin has been removed. You now have the ability to live in such a way that there will be no query in your card.
When you are born again you expect certain things. Number one is, you miss hell and you gain heaven – John 3:16
Salvation confers on you several other wonderful things – 2 Cor. 5:17. Salvation confers on you a brand new beginning. You can get a new name written down in glory – John 1:11-12
Colossians 1:12-14 – When you are born again you get a new accommodation. Salvation gives you the privilege of being translated from darkness into light. Salvation brings you under a new management – Matthew 11:28-30
There are more benefits far beyond ordinary expectations, because you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, 1 John 1:7, you immediately have access to the mighty hands of God – Isaiah 59:1-2 you have access to the ears of God. Which means you have access to answered prayers – Psalms 65:2.
Immediately the Blood wash the clean you have victory over Satan – Revelation 12:10-11. Immediately you are bornagain you have access to protection from death – Exodus 12:1-23
When you are bornagain you have access to the Holiest of Holies – Hebrews 10:19
When you are saved you gain access to the access that means Savior Matthew 1:21 When you have access to the name you have access to dominion Philippians 2:10.
Acts 19:11-17 The moment you are bornagain hell knows. The moment you are bornagain you have access to a great Life Partner who is called The Holy Spirit – Romans 8:26
Some of us are bornagain and eating biscuits when the Almighty has prepared a buffet for you. We are going to apologize to God for wasting blessings that are made available for us.
I have told you again and again, that nothing goes for nothing. When you are bornagain what are the expectations of God from you?
God is also expecting certain things from us – 1 Peter 1: 18-19 – Because you are bought, God expects you to glorify Him with your body. God expects from you that you don’t use your body anyhow – 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. From the moment you are bornagain you flee from any sexual immorality.
Matthew 4:14-16 He expects your light to shine when you become bornagain.
He expects you through your action, your words, to shine. You are expected to be the salt of the earth. Salt is a destroyer of corruption. Salt makes things sweet. Salt preserves. It says you either do the work of salt or be thrown away.
Ephesians 2:8-9 Never say, “When I found Christ” it was Jesus who found you who had been lost. You have been saved by Grace, God doesn’t expect you to frustrate the Grace.
Matthew 5:21-28 The day Jesus saved your soul you became a Son; you were a dog. It doesn’t expect you to go back to sins and become a dog – 2 Peter 2:20-22 When you return back to your vomit you will be kept out of the Kingdom Rev 22:15.
The Almighty God expects you to redeem time; the time you had wasted – Ephesians 5:14-16
God wants you to ask quickly – Revelations 2:1-5, 22:12.
