Key: God considered David to be a man after His heart because David showed his faith and commitment to following hard after God with all his heart. The position of our heart towards God is crucial in our relationship with Him; God doesn’t judge by appearance, He looks at the heart. And when we follow God with all our heart we will surely find Him (Jeremiah 29:13) and He will uphold us with His right hand.
