Key: God considered David to be a man after His heart because David showed his faith and commitment to following hard after God with all his heart. This is why God was with him and David could boldly say “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Psalms 23:4 (KJV)”

The position of our heart towards God is crucial in our relationship with Him; God doesn’t judge by appearance, He looks at the heart. And when we follow God with all our heart we will surely find Him (Jeremiah 29:13) and He will uphold us with His right hand.

Action: Be a man after God’s heart.
