Bible verse in Yoruba:

Orin Dafidi 27:01 – OLUWA ni imọlẹ mi ati igbala mi; tali emi o bẹ̀ru? Oluwa li agbara ẹmi mi; aiya tali yio fò mi?

Key: When light shines darkness disappears, when salvation comes, bondage is broken. Darkness and bondage brings about fear.

Fear is one thing that robs people of blessings and so many good things ahead of them. The devil is the father of fear. Fear makes you unable to move forward, fear puts unnecessary thoughts in one’s head. Fear makes one unable to achieve his maximum potential.

Christians should not exhibit fear in their lives because it’s not an attribute of Christianity. God has made himself available to us as our light as our salvation even when things are scary.

God has made himself available to us to save us from any danger ahead, to shine his light in our paths so we won’t walk into the valley of the shadow of death. God has made himself available to us but we are not making judicious use of the opportunity given to us.

We just sit down, try to work everything out with our own human understanding and strength and let the devil cease the opportunity to input Fear in our hearts. Fear that things would not work out well, fear that we won’t make it in life, fear that at the end of it all we will be a cast away and so many other fears which should not even flash through our minds on a normal day.

Trying to work things out with your human understanding brings fear automatically; God has made himself available as our light and salvation so before you even start anything or do anything, there is already light available, salvation is already made available for you so why should you be scared?

Reflection: God has made himself available for you, let go of your fear and hold on to God.
