Proverbs 20 vs 7 in Yoruba

Owe 20:7 –  Olõtọ enia nrìn ninu iwa-titọ rẹ̀: ibukún si ni fun awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ lẹhin rẹ̀!

Key: Children are mirrors of their parents; always watching, always listening. How the parents live their daily lives reflects on the children and tends to grow to be like them.

The sons especially, tend to follow in the steps of the father; his spiritual life, social life and marital life. For instance, The son of a man who cares less about the things of God, drinks and commits adultery will likely walk in the ways of his father when he becomes of age.

Thus, it is of utmost importance that the head of the house be a man of integrity, upright and walks in the way of the Lord, so that his children can follow in his steps.
