Word of the day: Obadiah 1 vs 17 – There Shall Be Deliverance
Caption: There Shall Be Deliverance
Memorise: But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Obadiah 1:17 NKJV
Obadiah 1:17 – AMP – But on Mount Zion [in Jerusalem] there shall be [deliverance for] those who escape, And it shall be holy [no pagan will defile it]; And the house of Jacob shall possess their [former] possessions.
Obadiah 1:17 – NIV – But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance.
Obadiah 1:17 – ESV – But in Mount Zion there shall be those who escape, and it shall be holy, and the house of Jacob shall possess their own possessions.
Bible verse in Yoruba:
Obadiah 01:17 – Ṣugbọn igbala yio wà lori oke Sioni, yio si jẹ mimọ́, awọn ara ile Jakobu yio si ni ini wọn.
Key: Deliverance is freedom, freedom from sin, freedom from boundage, freedom from curses, freedom from set back, freedom from lack, freedom from anything holding you back.
There can’t be freedom without boundage. Bondage restricts a person to a position. When there is bondage, you look at your goal ahead but you are unable to reach it. Bondage causes pain, depression, fear and so on. When a man is in bondage, even though he has so many gifts and abilities in him he will remain incompetent.
Sadly so many people are in boundage but they have no idea but the good news is that there is deliverance.
You can’t be free from your boundage if you don’t go to God in prayer. The mountain indicated in the Bible text doesn’t mean you need to look for a mountain before you pray. When you kneel to pray, the ground you stay on to pray becomes a mountain because the spirit of God is always present, so anywhere you stand on to pray is a mountain.
There is freedom for you, you don’t need to stay down depressed or sad; you just need to pray.
Pray against bondage, pray against curses, pray against wrong words said to you, pray against the fear pushing you back ,pray against anything you are not comfortable with in your life. Just pray, anywhere, anytime, any day and now.
Reflection: There is deliverance on that ground you are standing on; just pray. Remember a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.
