Key: To rest in the Lord is to give up one’s plan for God’s plan, one’s activities for God’s activities and to Trust God to lead us in the right way to go. When we walk in His path, He will make us perfect (” I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. Genesis 17:1 KJV) He will be there to help us (For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Isaiah 41:13 KJV) and we will experience his peace (Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV) and joy. (Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11 KJV)

However, before we can rest in the Lord, we must first repent from our evil ways; every bad habit that has kept us away from the hand of God. (Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV). Then we can now come to rest in Him. (“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 KJV)
Prayer: Lord, draw me nearer to thee, help me to rest in You.
