Word of the day: Galatians 2 vs 20 – Crucified with Christ
Caption: Crucified with Christ
Memorise: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me – Galatians 2 vs 20 KJV
Galatians 2:20 – AMP – I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Galatians 2:20 – NIV – I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 – NLT – My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 – TPT – My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine!

Key: Crucifixion signifies the point of death with Christ and with every death there is always resurrection, because our Lord Jesus resurrected from death.
Jesus went through crucifixion to make us know the process of salvation.
Salvation entails dying to your sin; your sins are nailed to the cross and then resurrection entails raising up from death not as an old man but as a new person because your sins and old natures are now dead and anything that is not of God that dies has no power to resurrect.
Now imagine how many times you have given your life to Christ and then returned to the world. I know you have gotten frustrated because you feel you have overused your opportunity of redemption. Know this, you are always going back because you haven’t gone to the cross truly, you haven’t gotten to the state of crucification truly.
The point of crucifixion and resurrection is sacred and crucial to having a new life. Jesus died once and resurrected once so you only get to the point of crucification once and you resurrect once.
The reason you keep rising and falling is because you haven’t truly gone to the cross to be crucified.. you just go to the cross soberly and then turn back because of the pain in the process of crucifixion.
Crucifixion isn’t easy but there is always joy at resurrection but you cannot resurrect without being crucified, you can’t be like Christ, you can’t be a genuine child of God without nailing your sins to that cross.
Reflection: For I am crucified with Christ but I live, I am not the one living but Christ lives in me.
