Caption: Jesus, the Reconciler.
Colossians 1:20 – KJV – And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Colossians 1:20 – Amplified Bible – and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on earth or things in heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
Colossians 1:20 – NLT – and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
Colossians 1:20 – MSG – Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe-people and things, animals and atoms-get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.
Colossians 1:20 – GNB – Through the son, then, God decided to bring the whole universe back to himself. God made peace through his Son’s blood on the cross and so brought back to himself all things, both on earth and in heaven.
Key: God reconciled everything unto himself through the blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is reconciled unto God. We are reconciled unto God through Jesus Christ.
