Key: Everyone that participates in a race has a goal and the goal is to get to the end point of the race. Every runner’s gaze is fixed to the end of the race but only one person gets to the end first and obtains the prize. The difference between the winner and the rest is their level of determination. The higher your determination is the more you work, practice and prepare. The way it is for an athlete is the way it is with Christians, we are all running the race but the difference between us all is our level of determination and vision about ourselves.

Every gift or assignment given to you was also given to thousands of people.

Most times we see people thriving and excelling in the assignment given to them and God is proud of them and He gives them even more do, but that is the same assignment given to you but you keep being nonchalant, slow and confused then you keep telling yourself that what that person is doing is what you are meant to do also and you keep telling everyone around that that is your purpose on earth but no action to show for it yet.

The moment the assignment was given to you was when you joined the race and you don’t know when the race will end and when the master will come with the reward. Start running now!

Reflection: Wake up, pray for strength and direction, run your race, the race isn’t easy but run with your eyes on the prize. (If you don’t know your assignment on earth, pray that God opens your eyes so you can know and work on it…the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18)
