The Light Daily Devotional – What you Represent in God’s purpose
Focus: What you Represent in God’s purpose
WORD FOR TODAY
When a man is ignorant of what he represents, he tends to live anyhow and below God’s expectations for his life. Knowing your place in God’s purpose is critical to the fulfillment of your mandate!
Scriptural Reference
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
Every man who has received the gift of salvation must not be ignorant of who he is expected to be: a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special people; who had been called out of darkness into His marvelous light to proclaim His praises. What you do and live for, as well as your disposition to various issues of life determines values. Your actions at every point in time determine God’s place value in your life.
It is not everything that appears not to be a sin that you can do as a Christian. Your appearance speaks volumes of your values whether worldliness or godliness. Apostle Paul has the right to several things which are not considered sins but he refused to claim it because of his calling. He denied himself to please God and to make his election sure.
Having the understanding of what your life represents, apart from ensuring that you did not sin against God you must always think and meditate on whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy (Philip 4:8).
+ What does your life represent?
Prayer: Lord! I receive the grace to live up to your expectations for my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Emphasis: When a man forgets who he should be in God’s purpose he tends to misbehave!
Have a Blessed Week!
