The Light Daily Devotional – Operating Under God’s Grace
Focus: Operating Under God’s Grace
WORD FOR TODAY
The fact that a man is knowledgeable, strong, powerful, industrious and determined does not mean that he will be successful. Success and fulfillment in various facets of life is not only the function of hard labor but majorly of God’s grace and favor!
Scriptural Reference
“It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.” (Psalm 127:2 NKJV)
It is for men to labor but it is for God to give sleep, rest, peace of mind and fulfillment. The bible verse makes it clear that a man can labor hard and end up eating the bread of sorrow because his labor would bring him more sorrow than sleep. One day of God’s favor is enough to put an end to ten years of intense fruitless labor.
Do not underestimate what God can do in your life; you must continue to acknowledge Him in whatever you do. Whatever God will not support you or help you to do will remain fruitless and a waste of time (Ps 127:1). As you proceed in destiny you must ensure that your life is operating under the influence of God’s grace.
The outcome of the life of a man who depends on his labor will be limited to what men can do but a life operating under the grace of God will be open to what God can do. It is an established fact that labor oriented people don’t usually find sleep and yet never enjoy life irrespective of what they have. Walk-in obedience to God’s word and enjoy the peace of God in whatever you do; having hope that all will be well.
+ Is your life open to what God can do?
Prayer: Lord! I receive the grace to walk in obedience to your word and find rest, peace of mind and fulfillment in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Emphasis: It takes the grace of God to be truly successful in life!
Have a Graceful Tuesday!
