The Light Daily Devotional – Get up and Try Again

Focus: Get up and Try Again

The word for today

It is never a crime to fall, but it is a crime to remain where you fall. Don’t be afraid to turn to God for strength when you fall. The devil’s ultimate objective is for you to never rise after a fall!

Scriptural Reference

For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.” Proverb 24:16 NKJV

Sometimes, we may feel ashamed or discouraged when we fail or fall in certain aspects of our lives. However, it is important to remember that failure is a part of the learning process and it should not be viewed as a crime. The real crime is choosing to remain where you fell instead of getting up and trying again. In times of failure, we should not rely on our strength but instead, find the courage to seek strength from God.

The devil’s ultimate plan is for us to never rise after falling. He wants us to stay stuck in our failures and be consumed by shame and guilt. However, we must not give in to his schemes and believe that our failures are beyond redemption. No matter how terrible an issue may seem, we can find comfort in the fact that it is not beyond what God can handle. He is capable of giving us the strength we need to rise again.

When we experience failure, it is important to remember that it does not define us. Instead, we should use our failures as stepping stones toward greater success and growth. Through the grace of God, we can rise from our failures and become better versions of ourselves. Proverbs 24:16 encourages us that “for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again”. Therefore, let us not allow our failures to hold us down but rather, let us use them as opportunities to become stronger and wiser.

+ What do you do whenever you fall?

Lord! Strengthen me to rise above every setback and limitation in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Emphasis: Do not accept any fall or failure as fate, find strength under God to rise again!

Have a Graceful Wednesday!
