The Light Daily Devotional – Delayed but Not Denied

Focus: Delayed but Not Denied

WORD FOR TODAY

No matter what you’ve been through as a child of God, His plans for your life remain intact. Despite the trials, setbacks, or delays you may face, God’s purpose concerning you is unshaken. The beauty of your present challenges is that they are not permanent— they are designed to pass, paving the way for God’s promises to be fulfilled in your life!

Scriptural Reference

“And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the LORD brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies.” — Exodus 12:51 (NKJV)

Just as the Israelites were delivered after years of bondage, your breakthrough will surely come. It may seem like an endless struggle, but when God’s time is ripe, what He has promised will come to pass, no matter the opposition. No matter how terrible your life may seem right now, no matter the challenges you’re battling, nothing has changed in God’s eyes as long as you’re committed to Him. The storms you face do not alter His divine plan.

The delays you face are not denials of His promise—they are part of the process, the preparation, and the refinement for something greater. The Israelites were enslaved in Egypt for 430 years, and for many, it seemed that freedom would never come. Pharaoh, in all his power, believed that no one could deliver them from his grip. But God’s word cannot be stopped, and in His perfect timing, He brought the Israelites out with a mighty hand. It came to pass just as God said it would.

In the same way, it doesn’t matter what others think about your situation. It doesn’t matter what people have done to try to block your progress or how impossible your circumstances may seem. What matters most is that God’s promise will come to pass. His timing is perfect, and His power is greater than any force working against you.

In times of delay, it’s easy to lose hope, but this is when your faith must rise the most.  Keep your faith alive in Him, and trust absolutely in His might. He is faithful to deliver, and He has not forgotten you. Just as He led the Israelites out of Egypt, He will bring you into your place of victory, no matter how long or difficult the journey has been.

Meditation: Are you keeping faith alive?

Prayer: Lord, I thank You that Your plans for my life remain intact, despite the delays and challenges I face. Give me the strength to keep my faith alive and to trust in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Emphasis: God’s promises cannot be thwarted. What He has spoken over your life will surely come to pass, no matter how long the delay may be.

Live with an unshakable faith, knowing that delays in your life are not denials of God’s plan.
