The Light Daily Devotional – Avoid Doing Evil

Focus: Avoid Doing Evil

The word for today

No matter the reasons or justifications given, engaging in any form of evil will only result in more evil. Evil is not a seed that can bear good fruit, and it will always find a way to come back to haunt those who sow it!

Scriptural Reference

“Whoever rewards evil for good, Evil will not depart from his house.” Proverb 17:13 NKJV

It is important to understand that any act of evil, no matter the reason or intention behind it, will ultimately lead to negative outcomes. Evil begets evil, and those who choose to perpetrate it will find that it will never depart from their lives. Such actions can never yield anything good and will only bring about destruction, pain, and suffering. It is essential to always strive towards doing good and avoiding any form of evil.

No matter the situation, there is no justification for engaging in evil deeds. The consequences of such actions will always outweigh any perceived benefits. Instead, we should always choose to do what is right and just, even in the face of adversity.

Therefore, we must always do good, even when we are faced with difficult situations. We must resist the temptation to repay evil with evil, and instead, choose the path of forgiveness and love. As Christians, we are called to be the light in the darkness, and this means showing compassion and kindness to those who may have wronged us. In a world where the cycle of violence and retaliation seems to be never-ending, we must remember that there is no justification for doing evil. Let us choose to break the cycle and sow seeds of goodness, knowing that in due time, we will reap a harvest of peace and joy

+ How do you overcome evil?

Prayer: Lord! Let the Holy Spirit take charge of our lives and overcome evil with good in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Emphasis: There is no justification for doing evil!

Have a Superb Tuesday!
