The Light Daily Devotional – A wise Resolution
Focus: A wise Resolution
The word for today
You will not serve God effectively as you should until you have resolved in your heart to be only what God wants you to be!
Scriptural Reference
“If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” (Daniel 3:17-18 NKJV)
You will always come to the point of resolution; choosing between the will of God and what is not His will. Your resolutions will be detrimental to what God wants to achieve with your life if you resolve to do things contrary to His will.
Most of the time, life presents various options that appear wonderful and glorious but are contrary to God’s plan and purpose for our lives. We must try as much as possible to resolve to do what is right and what is in God’s will for our lives. We must be mindful of the fact that the way of the Lord is the way of wisdom and peace.
The Lord brought His word to pass in the lives of the 3 Hebrews and the likes of Joseph, Abraham, and David due to their resolution at critical times in their lives. We cannot tell of the mighty works that God plans to use the life of Gehazi to achieve because he fumbled on the pathway of destiny.
What are you planning to become?
Prayer: Lord! I have resolved to do your will all the days of my life. Please help me to be what you want me to be in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Emphasis: Your resolution determines what your life will be. You must resolve to always do the will of God if you are to be what He wants you to be!
Have an impressive Friday!
