WORD FOR TODAY
You have not prayed until your prayers support the purpose of God on earth. A wise request is identified when such a request meets the need of God on earth!!
Scriptural Reference
“Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge these great people of Yours?” 1 Kings 3:9 NKJV
The primary desire of God is that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. After the death of King David, Solomon his son succeeded him as King. God desired that Solomon should rule his people righteously and with wisdom. Hence, Solomon prayed based on the desire of God and his request was granted.
When the prayer of a man is self-centred, such will neither bless lives nor meet the needs of God. No prayer is complete until it is tailored towards the will of God as it is in heaven. Your request before God will not be effective until God’s will come first in your thinking. Hence, it is not about praying but praying according to God’s will.
