There is a limit to which men can help you. When God brings people that can help you your way and they are trying to help you; don’t forget to help yourself!!!

“The angel of the LORD came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” 1Kings 19:7 NKJV
Helping yourself in this context is not trusting in the arm of the flesh for help but yielding yourself to accept the advances God is making towards you through the people He is bringing your way. The fact is that God is ever ready to help, does not change the fact that you must help yourself to help God to help you. He needs your cooperation to do His good pleasure in your life.
Elijah was expected to eat in preparation for the journey ahead of him. By yielding to the instruction given to him, he was able to successfully go on a journey for 40 days and nights without becoming weary. The parable of the ten virgins made it clear to us that every man is expected to take responsibility for his life.
If there is a child who has people to send him/her to school or have an opportunity to be in school; such must be ready to help himself to perform excellently. It is your responsibility to become worthy of God’s salvation, blessing and His promises over your life. The turning point in the life of the prodigal son was the point he submitted himself to get it right with the father.

Lord! Help me to play my part in the fulfilment of your purpose for my life in Jesus name. Amen!!!
Emphasis: Helping yourself is yielding yourself to play your part in every bid to fulfil your mandate!
