Romans 6:4 – AMP – We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways].

Romans 6:4 – GNB – By our baptism, then, we were buried with him and shared his death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from death by the glorious power of the Father, so also we might live a new life.

Romans 6:4 – ESV – We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

The Yoruba version of Romans 6:4

Romu 6:4 – Njẹ a fi baptismu sinu ikú sin wa pọ̀ pẹlu rẹ̀: pe gẹgẹ bi a ti jí Kristi dide kuro ninu okú nipa ogo Baba bẹ̃ni ki awa pẹlu ki o mã rìn li ọtun ìwa.

Key: The pattern of our lives are unto Christ our Lord and Savior who redeemed us by His death unto a glorious life with Him. We are therefore not to think or live differently in our daily lives. We were buried with Christ through baptism unto death and have also risen with Him from the dead to do His will.

Prayer point: Lord from henceforth, help me to always be in alignment with your purpose for me.
