Memorise: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before – Philippians 3:13 KJV

Philippians 3:13 – NLT – No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.

Philippians 3:13 – AMP – Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.

Philippians 3:13 – NIV – Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.

Bible verse in Yoruba

Filippi 3:13 – Ará emi kò kà ara mi si ẹniti ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ti tẹ̀ ẹ na: ṣugbọn ohun kan yi li emi nṣe, emi ngbagbé awọn nkan ti o wà lẹhin, mo si nnàgà wò awọn nkan ti o wà niwaju,

Key: One problem with us humans is that we never let go of our past achievements or victories. We still use them to weigh ourselves even many years after it. Some of us start falling, some of us start becoming less of who we are but still we are blinded by our past achievements.

Little foxes, which we should be cautious of, start eating us deep, they start destroying us yet we don’t consider them because we feel we are still the strong men we were yesterday.

Let go of your past victories or achievements, let go today. There is more waiting for you only if you let go and pursue them. Forget how you were, sit down and analyze who you are today, work on yourself to be better, pursue the best version of yourself in every area and you will see how much growth you will have.

Emphasis: LET GO AND RUN…YOU ARE NOT YET AT THE FINISH LINE.
