Bible verse in Yoruba:

Matteu 22:39 – Ekeji si dabi rẹ̀, Iwọ fẹ ọmọnikeji rẹ bi ara rẹ.

Key: You have messed up countless times and still you didn’t hate yourself, stayed away from or killed yourself. With every time you mess up you brace yourself, you forgive yourself and you love yourself.  Now look at that your so called friend and neighbour that offended you, that you claim you will never forgive or you claim to have forgiven but you don’t want them around you, and ask yourself if Christ suffered and died for everyone just for you to go around with an unforgiving spirit.

Most times you claimed to have forgiven the person but you will say you will never trust the person again or you go about telling people how the person hurt you. Is that forgiveness or love?

Will you go about not trusting yourself or telling everyone the wrong you did to yourself?

Remember the lord’s prayer; forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us. Think about these things.

Reflection: You can’t claim to love the Father that you have not seen if you don’t love your brother that you can see.
