Isaiah 50 vs 7  in Yoruba

Nitori Oluwa Jehofa yio ràn mi lọwọ: nitorina emi kì yio dãmu; nitorina ni mo ṣe gbe oju mi ró bi okuta lile, emi si mọ̀ pe oju kì yio tì mi.

Key: “Flint” is a hard rock that can be used to ignite fire, sometimes used to make weapons.

To set one’s face like a flint is to strongly, resolutely, passionately gaze at something.

Like Jesus, who despite the excruciating task and the pain before Him stood firmly and carried out His task, let us strongly set our face strongly unto Jesus.

In our Christian walk, it is required of us to be determined, resolute and not to waiver no matter what may come our way. It is doing this that our faith is perfected. And when our time is done on earth, like Paul, we can say “I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful”

Action: Lord Jesus, help me set my face on you like a flint.
