Word of the day: 1 Corinthians 10 vs 13 – God is Faithful to Deliver

Caption: God is Faithful to Deliver

Memorise: No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV.

1 Corinthians 10:13  – NLT –  “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

1 Corinthians 10:13  – AMP – No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

Bible verse in Yoruba

1 Korinti 10:13 – Kò si idanwò kan ti o ti ibá nyin, bikoṣe irú eyiti o mọ niwọn fun enia: ṣugbọn olododo li Ọlọrun, ẹniti kì yio jẹ ki a dan nyin wò jù bi ẹnyin ti le gbà; ṣugbọn ti yio si ṣe ọna atiyọ pẹlu ninu idanwò na, ki ẹnyin ki o ba le gbà a.

Key: The faithfulness of God allows every man to be tempted within his ability; therefore, God does not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability.

He always provides a way of escape for us in temptation, therefore, instead of complaining in the midst of temptation, let’s find that way of escape and flee, that is not the time to prove strength but the time to apply wisdom

And peradventure if we can’t flee from that temptation, let’s just remind God of His Word and He will give us the grace to bear the temptations just as He gave Jesus Christ the grace to endure and overcome His temptations.

I pray that we will always abide in the presence of the Lord and not be drawn away by our lust into temptations in Jesus name. AMEN.

Have a great day and stay safe.
