The Light Daily Devotional – The Promise of Increase

Focus: The Promise of Increase

WORD FOR TODAY

You cannot follow God faithfully and end small. Kingdom service attracts Kingdom increase!

Scriptural Reference

“A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation.  I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.” — Isaiah 60:22 (NKJV)

Increase is not just a desire of God; it is His covenant promise to those who serve and honour Him. When God calls you, He does not call you into reduction. When He leads you, He does not lead you into emptiness. Every genuine follower of God carries a divine guarantee of growth, enlargement, and multiplication.

God does not take a man backward. You cannot follow and serve Him wholeheartedly and end in degeneration. The path of the righteous shines brighter and brighter (Proverbs 4:18), not dimmer and dimmer. Every step with God is a step into increase; even if the beginnings look small.

When God grants a man rest, He positions him for increase. Rest removes distractions, silences battles, and makes room for fruitfulness. This is why God told David He would give him rest on every side before expanding his kingdom. Rest precedes increase. The call of God over your life is not meant to diminish you, frustrate you, or limit you. It is designed to make you better, stronger, wiser, and more fruitful. God calls men to lift them, transform them, and fulfil His Word in them. There is no limit to what God can do in a surrendered life.

The fact that you look small today does not cancel God’s prophetic intention for increase. God specializes in taking “little ones” and making them “a thousand.” He turns “small ones” into “strong nations.” Your present size does not define your future capacity. With God, small beginnings become mighty manifestations.

What you desire to be is possible by Him and in Him. He is the God who multiplies the little and expands the small. If you stay faithful, obedient, and aligned with His will, an increase is inevitable.

Questions for Meditation

Do I truly believe that God desires to increase me? Am I honouring God with my decisions, lifestyle, and service?  Am I patient enough to trust God’s timing for the increase He promised?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the promise of increase over my life. Give me the grace to serve You faithfully and honour You in all my ways. Grant me rest on every side and prepare me for divine enlargement. Hasten Your word of increase in my life and make me all You have ordained me to be. Amen.

Main Emphasis: God does not call men to reduce them. He calls them to increase, multiply, and rise. A little one in God’s hands will always become a thousand.

May God give you rest, enlarge your borders, and cause you to experience supernatural increase, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Amen.
