Memorise: Speaking to the people, he went on, “Take care! Protect yourself against the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot.”

Luke 12:15 MSG

Luke 12:15  – KJV –  And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Luke 12:15  – AMP – And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Bible verse in Yoruba

Luku 12:15 – O si wi fun wọn pe, Kiyesara ki ẹ si mã ṣọra nitori ojukòkoro: nitori igbesi aiye enia ki iduro nipa ọ̀pọ ohun ti o ni.

Key: Life is not defined by wealth and possession but by our richness in our relationship with God and love for others. Life is defined by how much of God we have in us, our service to God, our love for God and our obedience to God’s commandments. The best of what this world has to offer is not made for our transition to eternity(God’s kingdom) save only if we have a rich relationship with Him.

Question for meditation: Are you rich in your relationship towards God?
