BIBLE PASSAGES ON LIFE EXPECTANCY
Caption: BIBLE PASSAGES ON LIFE EXPECTANCY
James 4:14 – AMP – Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air].
Hebrews 13:15 – NLT – For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.
Hebrews 11:13 – KJV – These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Psalms 89:47 – KJV – Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
Psalms 90:12-14 – KJV – So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.13 Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. 14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
1 Corinthians 7:29 – KJV – But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
Revelation 12:12 – NIV – Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
Brethren, be sensitive to what is going on around; since have been in this world I haven’t heard the wail of death like I did in the last couple of months. Life expectancy around the world has drastically reduced.
Let’s live our lives bearing in mind that each passing moment could be the last. This is not intended to perturb you but to a call for evaluation and thorough examination. A call to return to the Lord (http://www.ferventxtian.com/the-light-daily-devotional-a-call-to-draw-near-to-god/). A call to live for God and His righteousness. If you die today, where would you go; heaven or hell? I say again, examine yourself.
Peradventure you are yet to give your life to Christ please do so. Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
I pray you and I will make it to heaven in Jesus name. Amen
